This large sexhade (hand hooked carpet) is offered by two sisters from Zherk, in Pac. Their mother made it, 40 years ago. Since then it was stored in an “arka” or traditional trunk, and never used. “That’s why it has those folds in it!” they explain eagerly – “But those will settle out once it’s layed out!” It was woven in two sections, using extra thick wool. Please note that the base color is actually a rich aubergine (purplish) – we were afraid it kind of looks brown in some pics.
