Product Description
In Tropoja, these are called simply Molle e Eger or “Wild Apples” (Malus sylvestris). There’s a particular kind of vinegar made from them which is highly valued – and rare to find, these days. Other than that, I’m still not sure what local people do with them, but they’re selling them by the bushel in the market (in season), so they’re clearly good for something.
