Has the road been paved, yet? Last time I was in Valbona, they just started laying down the first layer.

Weeeellll . . . It’s half-paved. The last half. From the Cerem Car Road to the end of the valley in Rrogam. The second (first) half, from Bajram Curri to the end of Dragobi is scheduled for the end of the summer this year.

Hey Fisnik! Sose’s GREAT, and we’re fine – they’ve just finished the little home-made hydroelectric generator, so it should be lights on forever, now! (Well, unless the goverment takes the water!)

Hi Catherine – do you remember us from when we met in the cafe on our trek up the valley in April 2012? We stayed in touch back then when you were trying to get the school room re-wired etc. How are things going now almost 2 years on? Have you a managed to get the school room properly up and running? I read your ‘too long to be published’ letter with great interest! Well said! All our best wishes to you up there in ther snow from a very, very wet and windy UK. Te fala te gjitheve ne Valbonen nga Rona dhe Peter ne Angli
