Although I’ve never been offered it in any home (BUMMER!), people here value sage (Salvia officinalis) as a soothing tea, and (as per the intro rant) wouldn’t dream of sticking it in their food. Doesn’t mean YOU can’t though! It’s a staple on my kitchen shelf and is actually knock-your-socks-off fragrant. I mean, I was never that into sage, until I moved here which means that this must be particularly delicious?
