Hotel Description
Guesthouse Adenis is run by a very friendly and charming family. The younger members of the family all speak English. Rooms are comfortable & clean . Your host Adenis, who is all of 18 years old, has been working with tourists since he was oooh, maybe 7 years old and is now an experienced mountain guide with two horses. He’s been everywhere all over Northern Albania, has infinite patience, and can help you out with carrying heavy luggage on the pass to Theth or other hikes. I’m not really sure how he learned English so well – although I’d love to take credit, I think it’s just his own endlessly cheerful smarts. His mother Neslije is happy to teach you how to milk cows, make cheese and cook traditional Northern Albanian dishes, most of which are incredibly time-consuming and exhausting, and frequently involve rather dangerous manouevers with red-hot iron objects.
